"This is how far southern whiskey has evolved." This is the "2025 Edition," a limited edition bottle released once a year from Mars Tsunuki Distillery, the southernmost whiskey distillery on the mainland.

The first thing you notice when you pour it into a glass is the rich fruity aroma, reminiscent of a tropical sun bathed in it. The sweet aroma of ripe apricots, oranges, and custard cream spreads softly.

On the palate, you'll be surprised by how smooth it is, believing its 49% alcohol content to be unimpressive. The vanilla aroma from the bourbon barrel and the deep richness from the sherry casks are intricately intertwined, and finally, the distinctive "full peat (smoke)" of Tsunuki leaves a pleasant aftertaste.

The rapid maturation of this bottle, driven by the temperature differences unique to the basin and the hot summers of Satsuma, has resulted in a perfection that will keep you drinking until you see the bottom of the bottle.
