Characteristics: A standard Japanese craft gin made with nine botanicals from Kagoshima (kumquat, yuzu, green tea, etc.).
"Wabijin" was created to express the nature of southern Satsuma. As its name suggests, it is characterized by its dignified appearance and delicate flavor. It is a unique blend of nine botanicals, including kumquats, yuzu, green tea, and ginger, all of which are local products of Kagoshima, based on juniper berries.
The moment you open the bottle, a refreshing, piercing citrus sensation spreads. However, the flavor is not simply light. The spicy aftertaste of ginger and shell ginger tightens the overall profile. It has been carefully designed to pair well with Japanese cuisine, making it the perfect drink to enjoy with meals.
Recommended drinking method: Start with a simple "gin and tonic." The citrus aroma pops with the carbonation. When pairing with delicate Japanese cuisine like sashimi or sushi, "soda-wari" or "mizuwari" (water and soda) also makes a surprisingly good match.
