Characteristics: Named after the founder, this is the origin and pinnacle of Honbo Shuzo's plum wine making.
A dignified drink that doesn't pander to trendy flavors. The name "Genjiro" cannot be given to anything half-baked. Made with generous amounts of carefully selected domestically grown plums, the essence is carefully extracted using traditional methods. When poured into a glass, it has a thick, viscous consistency, and the mouth-watering taste is filled with the rich sweet and sour flavor of ripe plums, along with the crispness that only a shochu base can offer. Nostalgic yet new, this is a classic plum wine.
Recommended way to drink: On the rocks, enjoy slowly. In the cold season, try mixing it with hot water, and the mellow plum aroma will fill the room.
