Characteristics: A sparkling liqueur with a refreshing aroma, made with plenty of natural yuzu juice.
This is the second installment in Yamamoto Sake Brewery's popular sparkling series, following "Lemon."
The moment it is poured into a glass, a fresh and elegant aroma spreads, as if it were made from freshly picked yuzu juice squeezed on the spot. The base is made with Yamamoto Shuzo's proud "honkaku barley shochu" (*). The mild barley shochu brings out the natural acidity and bitterness of the yuzu, and the fine carbonation adds a refreshing feeling. It is not too sweet, and the clean aftertaste does not interfere with the taste of a meal, making it perfect for a toast, or as a refreshing drink after a bath.
Recommended drinking method: Chill in the refrigerator and serve in a champagne glass. Goes great with Japanese food (especially sashimi and tempura).
