Harada Sake Brewery
The sweet "island time" nurtured on a coral reef island. A commitment to long-term aging that changes the conventional wisdom of brown sugar shochu.
Located about 540km south of the Kagoshima mainland, on Okinoerabu Island, an island formed by the uplift of a coral reef, this brewery has been producing sake since 1947.
Harada Shuzo is synonymous with "long-term storage" and "rich brown sugar flavor." As exemplified by their flagship brand "Shoryu," they slowly age their brown sugar shochu for a long period of five years, removing the harshness inherent in brown sugar shochu and bringing out a mellow, rich aroma similar to that of rum or brandy.
One sip and you'll be transported to the tropical breeze and the leisurely pace of island life.
